Puerto Banús is the nicest area on the coast and is well known to people all over the world for its exclusivity. Not only is the area full of designer shops but each summer some of the most luxurious yachts in the world fill the marina. Situated just a few kilometres west of Marbella before San Pedro de Alcántara, it has a fantastic mountain backdrop as well of course as beautiful sea views and its location makes it an ideal holiday destination. In addition there is a large commercial centre, a Corte Ingles department store, a marine observatory and a multi-screen cinema showing films in both Spanish and English. The area has some of the best nightlife to be found on La Costa del Sol. There are bars, piano clubs, casinos and discos to choose from and the partying goes on until the early hours of the morning.
